Dairy farms lose feed to spoilage and mostly guess at how much they have left. Aurox turns a drone flight over a feed pile into a 3D scan, measures the pile’s volume, converts it to tonnage, and projects the run-out date from how fast the herd is eating. I was the dedicated engineer on it for about a year, after a one-week paid trial the client used to vet us. My work was the inventory and farm domains, the direct-to-S3 upload and conversion pipeline that moves large scans into processing, the feed-depletion forecast that replaced farmers’ manual run-out estimates, and the bridge between the dashboard and the embedded 3D viewer. The measurement algorithm inside that viewer was built by another engineer, not me.
