A digital library of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s complete poetry — eleven books, each verse shown in the original Urdu or Persian alongside an Urdu gloss and an English translation, with full-text search across all of it. It started as a rescue. My company’s CEO is a serious Iqbal reader, and the phone app he kept the complete poetry in stopped working. Over a weekend I pulled the poetry out of that app’s binary and rebuilt it as a website. Content is static JSON, no database, with search indexed at build time. Most of my time since launch has gone into fixing the text itself — the tradeoff of content extracted from a binary rather than an authoritative source.
